The EPA Clean Air Act section 608 specifies that HVACR technicians must be certified in order to purchase or work with refrigerants used in most comfort-cooling and low-temperature applications. We offer a completely online training and testing session.  The exam is a 2-hour closed-book test that must be observed by an approved test proctor. 

IMPORTANT you will most likely not pass the exam if you do not study intently. Use the practice exam (link below) as a study tool as well. 

We are currently reformatting our exam preparation training.  We are offering an ONLINE EXAM ONLY at this time.  

This is a closed-book exam.  Each test candidate must have a computer that has a functioning web-camera and microphone.  You will need a private space with no disturbances for the 2-hour exam. The proctor will need to see the space through your camera and also a photo ID before you begin.

  Immediately upon completion of your exam the results will be provided to you. The certification card is mailed the following business day to anyone achieving a passing score.

The exam fee is $125.00

There are no discounts or refunds if you do not pass the exam.

There are no discounts nor refunds if the proctor terminates the call due to an observed impropriety during the exam, or due to the failure of your hardware to maintain an adequate online connection for the duration of the exam.
